Amar joined the Angostura family in April 2018 and was appointed Chief Financial Officer in April 2023. As CFO, he is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership across the Group, with oversight for finance, treasury, investments, risk management, business continuity, project management, audit, financial reporting, cash flow, and corporate performance. He plays a key role in supporting the Company’s long-term growth agenda, strengthening governance, improving financial discipline, and driving a performance-focused culture across Angostura.

With close to three decades of experience in accounting, finance, treasury, taxation, investments, ERP business alignment, process improvement, business intelligence, and strategic business management, Amar brings a strong commercial and transformation-focused approach to leadership. His experience spans large public, private, and multinational companies, with deep exposure to the manufacturing and fast-moving consumer goods sectors. He has led major efficiency, policy, reporting, automation, and process improvement initiatives aimed at improving business performance, strengthening controls, and supporting sustainable value creation.

Amar is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (A.C.C.A.) and was the recipient of an award from the Association for achieving the highest score in the Caribbean for the Advanced Financial Management final paper at the December 2008 examinations. He is also a graduate of the prestigious Harvard Manage Mentor Leadership Programme and a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago (I.C.A.T.T.).
