Mr. Shashi Seecharan
Assistant Corporate Secretary
Shashi Seecharan joined the Angostura team in February, 2023 as Senior Legal Counsel, attached to the Office of the Corporate Secretariat. He has over 12 years’ experience as an Attorney-at-Law, with previous roles including an Associate at a well-known local law firm and over 7 years within the financial sector, including roles as In-House counsel, Assistant Corporate Secretary and a member of Senior Management.
Shashi holds a Bachelor of Laws (L.L.B) (Honours) Degree from the University of the West Indies and a Legal Education Certificate (LEC) (Merit) from the Sir Hugh Wooding Law School Trinidad. He is admitted to practise as an Attorney-at-Law in both Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana. Shashi also holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Bedfordshire.
Shashi previously served on several Committees which focussed on Health & Safety as well as Youth, Education and Development. He is currently a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce’s ESG Committee.
Shashi is passionate about sports and is a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Lawyers’ Cricket Association and a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board’s National Appeals Committee. He also acts as a guest lecturer on Labour Law and Industrial Relations.
Shashi sits as the Assistant Secretary of The Angostura Foundation and provides assistance and support to the Board.
