Angostura® marked a significant milestone in its global expansion with the official launch of its newly reimagined premium rum range Nine Lives cocktail bar in London.

The evening commenced with a masterclass tasting attended by over 35 key members of the UK press, trade partners, and influencers. Hosted by Global Brand Ambassador Daniyel Jones alongside Master Blender Ariana Maharaj, the session offered an immersive introduction to the House of Angostura®, highlighting its 200+ year heritage, the distinct terroir of Trinidad & Tobago, and its unique position within the Caribbean rum category.

Guests were guided through the craftsmanship and blending philosophy that define Angostura’s signature style, with a particular spotlight on Angostura® 1919, positioned as a key expression for the UK market. The refined blend—enhanced for greater texture and depth while maintaining its classic character—was well received by attendees.

The event then transitioned into a vibrant celebration of Trinidad & Tobago’s culture, welcoming a wider group of industry guests and influencers. The venue came alive with national elements and carnival-inspired performances, complemented by a Trinidadian DJ, creating an engaging and authentic atmosphere.

Attendees enjoyed the full Angostura® rum portfolio through a variety of serves, including the iconic Queen’s Park Swizzle. Interactive experiences, such as a swizzle competition, further elevated the evening, offering guests a hands-on connection to the brand’s heritage.

The launch also showcased Angostura’s newly reimagined packaging, featuring a more prominent butterfly motif, symbolizing transformation and legacy. As the only rum distillery in Trinidad & Tobago, Angostura® continues to distinguish itself through its deep-rooted heritage, craftsmanship, and sense of place.

Guests departed with a curated gift of Angostura® 1919 and Angostura® 200 Year Anniversary Bitters, leaving a lasting impression of the brand’s legacy and innovation.
