In a momentous celebration of its 200th anniversary, Angostura Holdings Limited proudly announces the launch of The Angostura Foundation. This initiative marks a significant milestone which not only commemorates two centuries of excellence in the bitters and rum manufacturing industry, but also underscores Angostura’s unwavering commitment to giving back to the nation through impactful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

The Angostura Foundation will have oversight of Angostura’s key CSR initiatives, ensuring that they are aligned with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. It will also provide strategic direction, so that every project undertaken reflects a dedication to these ESG principles, as well as the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, Trinidad and Tobago’s National Development Strategy, and the Company’s core values of Passion, Respect, Integrity, Motivation, and Excellence (PRIME).

The Foundation will focus on four core pillars: Social, Local Content, Wellness, and Partnerships. The Social pillar seeks to enhance community well-being by integrating family values, youth training and development, and sustainable community spaces, thus fostering a sense of unity and purpose. The Local Content pillar aims to boost national pride and support sustainable local industries, optimizing quality of life and human potential. The Wellness pillar emphasizes work-life balance, physical fitness, nutrition, mental health, and safety, promoting overall well-being and resilience. Lastly, the Partnerships pillar strives to leverage the contributions of local and regional organizations, including educational institutions, public services, cultural groups, and the private sector, to secure resources and expertise that support the other three pillars.

Professor of Practice – Management Studies Dr. Sterling K. Frost O.R.T.T., Chairman of the Angostura Foundation, expressed his enthusiasm for the Foundation’s mission: “The Angostura Foundation represents a new era of purposeful engagement and strategic philanthropy for our company.
