Thousands of patrons and hundreds of dogs attended Angostura’s highly anticipated, dog friendly event, Paws in the Savannah on Easter Sunday.

This annual flagship animal welfare event geared towards promoting responsible pet ownership and community engagement transformed the Queen’s Park Savannah into a vibrant hub of activities for families. Dogs enjoyed “woof mocktails”, treats and interactive activities such as obstacle courses, play stations and misting areas. There were also vet consultations, grooming services and dog training demonstrations.

This year, Angostura’s Paws in the Savannah attracted approximately 700 dogs and thousands of people, marking another milestone in the growth and impact of the event.

The event forms part of Angostura’s continued investment in animal welfare initiatives with a focus on education, advocacy and addressing issues such as animal cruelty and abandonment through greater public awareness. It was reinforced through collaborations with animal shelters to promote adoption at Paws in the Savannah.

A defining feature of this year’s event was the unprecedented level of corporate participation, with approximately 50 companies partnering to support Angostura’s Paws in the Savannah. Many of these companies represented industries not traditionally associated with animal welfare, including financial services, manufacturing, construction, automotive, pharmaceutical, advertising and security, alongside pet-related brands and stores.

Chairman of Angostura, Mr. Gary Hunt said, “What we are witnessing is a meaningful shift in how companies engage with society. The breadth of support for Angostura’s Paws in the Savannah demonstrates that animal welfare is no longer a niche concern, but a shared responsibility across industries. We are proud to have created a platform that brings stakeholders together in such a tangible way, and we encourage continued collaboration to build on this momentum and drive lasting impact and to support animal shelters and rescuers.” As a globally recognised brand with a presence in over 170 markets, Angostura continues to leverage its influence to create initiatives that resonate beyond its core business. Paws in the Savannah reflects this, strengthening relationships with our customers and communities.
