The Angostura Foundation partnered with Caribbean Network for Integrated Rural Development (CNIRD) to execute the annual International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) on Saturday, September 21.

This year, Angostura® employees including members of The Angostura Foundation, our Executive team and Board of Directors journeyed to Caura River, located in the Northern part of Trinidad, to participate in the clean-up exercise.

The theme for this year “Sea The Change,” was brought to life as volunteers took on the meaningful task of removing waste from the river and its surroundings.

At The Angostura Foundation, we are committed to protecting our environment and making a positive impact on our local communities. We believe that every action counts, and through initiatives like these, which are in alignment with the Foundation’s Social Pillar, we continue to support a cleaner, greener future for generations to come.

Chairman of The Angostura Foundation, Professor of Practice Dr. Sterling Frost O.R.T.T., commented on this latest partnership, “Participating in the International Coastal Cleanup at Caura River is not just about cleaning our shores; it’s a testament to our commitment to preserving the environment. At The Angostura Foundation, we believe that protecting our natural resources is essential for sustainable development and community well-being. This initiative reflects our dedication to fostering environmental stewardship and encourages everyone to take an active role in safeguarding the beauty and health of our coastlines.”
