In support of the annual International Coastal Cleanup (ICC), the Angostura team rolled up their sleeves and headed to the Caroni Swamp. This ecologically vital area is home to countless species of birds and wildlife, including our national bird, the Scarlet Ibis.

We once again partnered with the Caribbean Network for Integrated Rural Development (CNIRD) to participate in the ICC, on September 20, held under the theme, “Clean Seas Against the Climate Crisis”.
Members of staff focused on removing plastic waste, glass bottles and other debris, underscoring the importance of protecting ecosystems in the face of climate change. Together, we successfully cleaned approximately 1.5 miles of the Swamp’s surrounding area, leaving it in a significantly better condition.

At Angostura®, our commitment to environmental sustainability and community well-being remains strong and we believe that small actions can lead to meaningful changes. Through initiatives like the International Coastal Cleanup, we continue to play our part in creating a cleaner, greener Trinidad and Tobago—today and for future generations.

We would like to encourage everyone to play their part by reducing waste, avoid littering, and keeping our surroundings clean, as every effort contributes to a healthier environment for all.
