The Angostura Foundation is sponsoring a group of students from its fenceline community of Laventille/Morvant, helping them pursue their academic goals at the secondary and tertiary levels through its Link to Learn programme.

Executed in partnership with the Loveuntil Foundation, this programme addresses a range of needs to create a comprehensive support system for the students. They receive schoolbooks, stationery supplies, extra lessons, life skills training, assistance with food items and transport, allowing them to focus fully on their studies without facing financial or logistical barriers.

Chairman of The Angostura Foundation, Professor of Practice Dr. Sterling Frost O.R.T.T. said, “Link to Learn is more than an educational programme, it is an investment in the next generation, encouraging each student to realise their potential and open doors to brighter futures. Our commitment to this programme reflects our dedication to social responsibility, and we are proud to play a role in the personal and academic growth of these young individuals.”

Launched in 2021, the programme was initially designed to assist students in Forms 3 through 5, to help them prepare for their Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) exams.  However, recognising the positive impact it has had, The Angostura Foundation expanded the programme to include those students who expressed an interest in continuing to Form 6 for Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE) or pursuing tertiary education locally, thus ensuring that they received a strong foundation to reach even greater heights.

This initiative is part of the Foundation’s social pillar which focuses on uplifting through education and empowerment – cornerstones of sustainable development. At The Angostura Foundation, we believe in being a responsible corporate citizen and making a meaningful impact on the communities that have supported us over the years. Education is the foundation of a brighter future, and we are excited to give these students the opportunity to pursue their dreams.
