Angostura Bitters has long been recognised around the world for transforming cocktails. Today, it is inspiring culinary innovation in professional and home kitchens.

The launch of Super Wings powered by Angostura Bitters at Soca Island in Point Fortin marks another exciting chapter in Angostura’s culinary journey, demonstrating the growing role of bitters beyond bars.

Congratulations to Chef Colette Burnett on bringing her internationally acclaimed Super Wings brand home with its first Caribbean location in Trinidad and Tobago. Best known for defeating celebrity chef Bobby Flay on the Food Network’s Throwdown with Bobby Flay, Chef Burnett has built an award-winning brand in Brooklyn, New York recognised for its bold Caribbean flavours. Her vision is introducing a new way to experience Angostura Bitters.

Around the world, chefs are increasingly turning to Angostura Bitters as an ingredient that much like salt, herbs and spices, enhances flavour.

At Super Wings, ANGOSTURA® aromatic, orange and cocoa bitters are not being used merely as finishing touches. They are central to the flavours being created through Super Wings’ award-winning recipes with each variety adding something different. Together, they open new possibilities for sauces, marinades, glazes, seasonings and signature dishes. Chef Burnett also incorporates Angostura® Tamboo into select recipes, showcasing the versatility of Angostura’s portfolio in contemporary cuisine.

CEO of Angostura, Mr. Ian Forbes said, “We want to encourage chefs to experiment with bitters, restaurants to explore how they can be incorporated into menus, culinary schools to teach future chefs about their many uses and caterers and home cooks to understand that Angostura Bitters can play a meaningful role in creating dishes that are more balanced, complex and memorable.”

We hope Super Wings’ innovation will inspire chefs, restaurateurs and food innovators around the world to discover new ways to incorporate Angostura Bitters into their culinary creations.
