Our portfolio of rums and bitters created a buzz at the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, China held from November 5-10. It is one of the largest trade fairs in China and facilitates countries and regions all over the world to strengthen economic cooperation and trade.  

As we continue to celebrate our 200th anniversary, our participation at CIIE marked a pivotal move in our ongoing global expansion, building on our legacy. 

This participation was organised by our distributor in China, Caribbean Commercial Management (Hangzhou) Co. Ltd, a subsidiary of First Caribbean Marketing Company Ltd (FCMC). 

Caribbean Commercial Management (Hangzhou) Co. Ltd signed an agreement with Shanghai Wei Zhen Trading Company Limited at the CIIE, which now paves the way for increased market access for Angostura® products across China. 

Our presence at the CIIE represents an essential step in amplifying our presence in China—a market known for its vast consumer base and dynamic economy. This endeavour aligns with the shared goals of the People’s Republic of China and the Government of Trinidad and Tobago, to bring the brand’s products to millions of Chinese consumers through targeted distribution efforts, supported by Export TT and the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association.
